One-of-a-kind

Woven from chaguar — a wild bromeliad fibre that grows deep in the forests of South America — this bag carries within it the knowledge, hands, and traditions of Wichi women from the remote Chaco region of Argentina.

To bring this piece to life, small groups of women venture into the forest to harvest the chaguar plant by hand. They separate their fibres, spin them, and dye them using natural extracts from roots, seeds, and fruits.

Each bag is handcrafted in the traditional way — a slow, intentional process.

By owning one of these pieces, not only do you get the chance to appreciate the effort, story and culture behind it, but you also are supporting these communities and purchasing a sustainable product.

Handcrafted by indigenous Wichi communities in Argentina, this piece is made with natural chaguar fibre — hand-harvested, hand-spun, and dyed using plant-based extracts from roots, seeds, and fruits.

Care guide:

— Keep dry. Do not wet your bag, as these are naturally hand-dyed,, exposure to water may cause damage.
— Spot clean only with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth if needed.
— Store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the natural dyes.

Every Casapacha purchase supports sustainable design and fair pay for the artisans who make it.
