Our new project, 'Mini Pacha' was inspired by our first baby, who was born in 2021. It is a small unisex collection created with a loads of passion, using the skills of our northern Argentinian artisans for our 'pequeños' - little ones. Our first collection features patterns inspired by the culture and landscape surrounding our Artisans in the Andes.    This collection shows the simplicity of our knits, and at the same time, the years of experience and knowledge that has been passed on by our artisan partners. The fibre of the chaguar plant (a forest plant found throughout the semi-arid Chaco region) has been used by the Wichi people to produce numerous objects for domestic use. It’s used to make fishing nets, bags, baskets, strings, ropes, hammocks and clothing. The language of these communities and the chaguar plant make up a central part of their cultural identity. Chaguar – like most other natural resources, such as fresh water, fish and fruits – is a resource to which the Wichi have free access.  The process of collecting chaguar is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Our collection of Ponchos & Scarves was made in the north of Argentina, in a place knows as Puna. In Quechua (local indigenous language), the word ‘Puna’ means ‘high land’. The Puna is a desert, high in altitude and dominate by Andes peaks. Our artisan partners there are a group of more than 120 women, who live in isolated communities through all the Puna area. They have been working together for years and have created an association named Red Puna.
